NEBB Firm Recertifcation

 

Every two years, the Chapter verifies continued compliance with NEBB certification requirements for each certified firm, certified professional and technician as follows:

 

Tab Recertification

 

The firm must own the instruments required for TAB certification which had been accepted or their replacements.

 

The firm must submit records to verify their conformance with NEBB guidelines for calibration and maintenance of required TAB instruments.

 

The firm must confirm in writing that they employ the designated certified professional(s) full time who previously met the NEBB requirements for TAB qualification.

 

The firm must verify in writing that the designated certified professional(s) has attended at least one six (6) hour approved TAB seminar or refresher course given annually or a total of 12 hours or 2 years by NEBB Chapters or National NEBB.

 

The firm must also fill out a Form TR for any certified technician to keep certification current.

 

Form C-2

 

BSC  Recertification

 

The firm must confirm in writing that they employ the designated certified professional who previously met the NEBB requirements for BSC qualification.

 

The certified professional must successfully complete the annual “Home Study Re-certification Examination” administered by NEBB National.

 

The designated certified professional(s) must attend at least one six (6) hour approved TAB seminar or refresher course given annually, or a total of 12 hours for 2 years by NEBB chapters or National NEBB.

Sound  and Vibration  Recertification

 

The firm must confirm in writing that they employ the designated certified professional who previously met the NEBB requirements for S&V qualification.

 

Form C-3

 

Fume Hood  Recertification

 

The firm must own the instruments and equipment required for Fume Hood certification which had been accepted or their replacements; the local chapter must visually confirm compliance.

 

The firm must submit records to verify their conformance with NEBB guidelines for calibration and maintenance of required instruments and equipment.

 

The firm must confirm in writing that they employ the designated certified professional(s) full time who previously met the NEBB requirements for Fume Hood qualification.

 

The firm must verify in writing that the designated certified professional(s) has attended at least one six (6) hour approved seminar or refresher course given annually or a total of 12 hours for 2 years. If the firm is also a NEBB-certified TAB firm or a NEBB-certified Cleanroom firm, fulfilling the recertification requirements of those programs, fulfills the Fume Hood recertification requirements. If the firm is only a NEBB-certified Fume Hood firm, the firm/supervisor may fulfill these recertification requirements by attending the local chapter’s annual recertification program, or by attending the NEBB Annual Meeting.
